They aren't super heroes, they're Slingers-- a misfit crew of kids thrown into a world of legendary beings with almighty abilities. Recruited by a mysterious benefactor to lead the next generation of crime-fighters, they're given identities and powers once worn by the amazing Spiderman, and strive to live up to the great responsibilities that must come with their great powers

Once worn by Spiderman, the guises he used to hide himself while the bounty was on his head are now being used by four teenagers who, despite the fact they are amateurs, strive to be the newest generation of super heroes.

		Ricochet Code name : Ricochet Real name : Johnny Gallo First Appearance : Slingers #0 History : Johnny Gallo is a blossiming mutant! A gift from his departed mother. He doesn't really like being a mutant but he uses his abilities really well. He doesn't quite understand his powers but when he needs them they come in handy, especially when using his bouncing disks. He is friends with Hornet and feels that being a super hero isn't all what he thought it was cracked up to be. His powers are still manifesting and he has yet to grasp the whole concept of being a mutant. Origin : Spider-Man wore this costume when everybody was trying to get the five million dollar bounty on his head. He used oval disks which would ricochet off walls in all directions when a certain amount of stregth is applied. Super Powers : Ricochet has a hyperactive agility and danger sense. He also uses bouncing disks as his primary weapon which he detaches from his sleeves.
		Dusk Code Name : Dusk Name : Cassie St.Commons First appearance : Slingers #0 History : She is the most mysterious members of the team, a poor goth girl who adopted the identity of Dusk, in Slingers #0 while the team was training, Dusk fell off a building and died. She was taken to the morgue but came alive again. She tried to help her friends save a man and a head on train colision but she was to late. However she did save a young boy from falling after reaching for a gun on a beam. Origin : After a trip to the negative zone, Spider-Man wore this costume given to him by the dying original. He used it as another identity in the "Identity Crisis". Super Powers : Dusk can hide in the shadows undetected, fly and can teleport. Her powers have just begun to manifest considering that she is "dead".
		Hornet Code Name : Hornet Name : Eddie McDonogh First appearance : Slingers #0 History : A shy freahman at Empire State University hides himself in hid text books because of the insecurities of his crippled arm. But as Hornet he gets the confidence he needs to be a great super hero. His only friend is Johnny Gallo a.k.a Ricochet. He is sometimes unsure whether he should be a hero or not but for the time being he will stay as Hornet. Origin : Spider-Man adopted this identity when a huge bounty was placed on his head. He needed a new guise so that he could still up hold the law. Super Powers : Hornet has super strength, can fly and might use "stingers", tiny ninja stars with a strong sedative.
		Prodigy Code name : Prodigy Real name : Ritchie Gilmore First Appearance : Slingers #0 Profile : Ritchie Gilmore is a star wrestler in E.S.U. and it's either his way or no way. He won't let anyone get in the way of his ambitions and goals. His gleaming gold costume might not be enough for him to become the super hero he wants to be. He was trained by a mysterious man who tought him the ways of the super hero. He has yet to show his true colours to his team mates for they still think of him as a bossy leader. Origin : Spider-Man wore this costume to escape the bounty on his head while he cleared his "good" name. Mary Jane made it for him but it is unknown as to how Ritchie got his hands on it. Super Powers : Prodigy is encased in a bullet proof armor and either has super strength which allows him to leap from building to building or has "normal" strength.
